Business opportunities
Being involved in the recycling business for 30 years now, has caused we came across with many new opportunities. Innovations causes that almost 75% of waste can be recycled. During our history we have been involved in exports of many types of materials for recycling purposes. We always kept our main focus on paper recycling, but have also exported; steel, clothes, plastics, tires etc. We have even been involved with machinery. If we can assist, we are always happy to do so.

During last period of 2-5 years, we have expanded our specialism to plastics. A total different market, with different expertise, but very interesting with all the developments involved. A good network leaded to opportunities, which caused we are regularly exporting plastics.

Cape Town,
In Damco newsletter…
“Company Name: Corrien Exports / Pratik Pulp
Profile: Waste Paper Exports from South Africa to India
Volume: 50+FFE per month
Damco Service: LSS
Vicki-Leigh, Wade and Gwen recently met with the business owners of Pratik Pulp PVT Ltd and Corrien Exports, respectively based in India and Holland, whilst on their business trip to South Africa. They are importers into India and move in excess of 300ffe per month from the United States into India. They are engaged in the business of importing wastepaper and wood pulp, catering to the need of paper mills and various recycling projects in India. The first trial shipment from Cape Town (5FFE) moved successfully in June and the second trial shipment (8FFE) moved in week 30 on the Lars Maersk destined to India, both shipments handled with utmost professionalism and dedication by Gwen Francis in Cape Town operations. Both Pratik Pulp and Corrien Exports have been so impressed with the dedicated service offered by Damco Cape Town, (always going the extra mile and exercising “individual solutions”) that they planned a business trip back to South Africa and will be visiting the Cape Town office in week 30 to discuss the progress and implementation of starting shipments from the rest of South African origins to India.”

Epe,
Recycling, It starts with water…
“During the spring of 2011 we came in contact with MPI Group. Since that first contact it all went very quick. Inspired by the three gentlemen behind this project, we got involved in this business. As we already are in the recycling business, recycling of water is close to our business. It even involves a larger plan: in this fast growing world, clean water is an essential need for everybody. Unfortunately is having clean water not possible in every part of the world. With this project we are able to provide those who need it clean drinking water as per the Dutch standard (KIWA). Next to the fact that we help the local people, we also help these people providing themselves a better future. Education and creating micro water shops, where local people work to produce, purify, sell and distribute clean and safe drinking water. “We are very proud and happy to be a part of this amazing project, says Mr. Qureshi (Sr.)”
